Srinagar, Jan 14: Prominent Social Activist- Trade Union Leader M Altafdar Rajbagh in a press statement issued here demanded to keep availability of Essential commodities in snow affected areas after heavy snowfall in J&K.
In view of the prevailing conditions after snowfall there have been reports as reportedly of disruptions in supply of essential commodities in some areas causing inconvenience to the General Public.
In this context,M Altafdar Rajbagh has Requested Lt Governor Shri Manoj Sinha,Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Chief Engineer PDD Kashmir that multiple teams of officers be constituted immediately to visit the affected areas with special focus on affected areas,to ascertain the present position of stocks of these essential items and augment the supply, wherever required, by coordinating with all concomitant agencies.
M Altafdar Rajbagh Requested the officers to remain vigilant and keep eye on hoarders, black-marketers who utilize the unfavorable situation for hiking the prices and creating false scarcity of essentials.
M Altafdar Rajbagh requested to LG Administration to exhort the officers to be prompt and responsive to the grievances of people on all counts and if observed also that road clearance and restoration of important public services that have been affected by the snowfall should be the restored on priority of the government officials at the helm of affairs & all necessary measures should be taken to restore the normal life.
