Srinagar, December 31:- National Loktantrik Party (NLP) Central Kashmir Incharge Mohammad Yaqoob Dunoo has strongly criticized Omar Abdullah and his National Conference (NC) government, accusing them of failing to deliver on their promises and neglecting the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“They deceived the people and did nothing for their welfare. Even their MLAs failed to fulfill their commitments. They couldn’t clear snow from the roads, leaving residents to face severe issues, including water scarcity and electricity shortages,” Dunoo said in an statement.
He specifically attacked the NC’s election promises of free 200 electricity units, free ration, and 12 free gas cylinders, labeling them as empty slogans aimed at misleading voters yet again. “The people of Kashmir are no longer fooled by such tactics,” he emphasized.
Dunoo also questioned Omar Abdullah directly, stating, “Where are the promises from your election manifesto? You have failed completely.”
Expressing his disappointment with the state’s decline, Dunoo remarked, “Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir was one of the most developed states after Maharashtra. Now it struggles with hardships. Last year’s funds remain unutilized, and Omar Abdullah is merely putting on a show.”
He further criticized Abdullah’s recent meetings with MLAs, questioning their purpose. “What does he hope to achieve by holding these meetings now? People will reject him in the future as he has failed to connect with them,” Dunoo asserted.
The National Loktantrik Party is emerging as a credible alternative to traditional parties in Jammu and Kashmir, with a commitment to addressing real issues and ensuring accountability from political leaders.
